MAX IV Presents: Sustainability Research

Join us for a one-hour presentation on current sustainability research and initiatives connected to MAX IV, Sweden’s largest research infrastructure. MAX IV uses X-ray light for material research at the molecular level, and is part of ReMade@ARI, an EU Circular Economy initiative.
Join us for a one-hour presentation on sustainability research and initiatives connected to MAX IV, Sweden’s largest research infrastructure. MAX IV is a synchrotron research facility with Lund University as its host.
Program
• MAX IV Interim Science Director Achim Schnadt will present an overview on MAX IV, which uses X-ray light for material research at the molecular level.
• Following will be three presentations on current research within sustainability:
1. “On Plasma Catalysis - a sustainable way forward” by Johan Zetterberg and Sara Blomberg from the physics department at LU. They will discuss their research performed at MAX IV.
2. “ReMade@ARI: an overview” with MAX IV’s European Project Coordinator, Nadia Day and post doctorate fellow, Santiago Pablo Fernandez Bordin. They will present the ReMade@ ARI project, which coordinates access to 50 research infrastructures across the EU to help scientists exploring the properties and structures of recyclable materials as part of the EUs Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP).
3. “Advancing earth-abundant solar cell materials using nanoscience” by scientist Simon Escobar Steinvall, Postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Analysis and Synthesis and Researcher at NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience. This research is part of the ReMade@ARI project.
May 6, 11.00-12.00 at Hörsalen, Pufendorf institute, Biskopsgatan 3, 223 62 Lund. No registration required, free entrance.
