Want to refresh your wardrobe in a sustainable way? Take a break from consumerism and fast fashion to participate in a circular economy! Donate clothes that you no longer use at one of our collection points, and later come and discover your new favourite piece among the items collected.

“Donate and Discover” is a large-scale clothing swap organized to allow students and participants of Sustainability Week to take part in a sustainable practice: the second-hand circular economy. The project is the initiative of the Sustainability Coordinators of Kalmar Nation, in collaboration with Helsingkrona Nation, Wermlands Nation, and Hållbart Universitet (and more to come!...).

This will be the fourth time Kalmar Nation has run this successful event, and each semester it becomes bigger and more ambitious! We are excited to collaborate with more organisations and expand the sustainability network even further, starting discussions about our impact as individuals, as organisations, and as society.

We aim to raise awareness, through simple, practical, and fun means, among a wide audience about the importance of sustainable consumption, the second life of objects, and the risks of consumerism. A presentation will also be broadcast to highlight and explain the issues of fast fashion and overconsumption. Drop off clothes that you no longer want or use at one of our collection points, and later, come find your new favourite piece among them during our official event. Everyone is welcome, with priority given to people who have dropped off clothes. The event is free to attend; no pre-registration is necessary.

The donation period will begin April 1st. Please await to find specific information for each collection point and times on their relevant social medias, or contact them for more information!

Discover:

To discover, or find new clothes, attend the market in Athens at AF Borgen, on the evening of April 15th, between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. The first 15 minutes of entry is reserved to those who have donated.

*Hållbart Universitet drop-off point may not be freely accessible. Please inquire in advance.

The event is part of Sustainability Week 2026, which runs between 13-18 April. Sustainability Week is an annual event in Lund organised as a joint venture by Lund University and Lund municipality. The week serves as a platform for bringing together ideas, raising public awareness and for inspiring sustainable change.
