Children from International school of Lund (ISLK) meet local decision makers

Welcome to listen as children from ISLK international school of Lund discuss sustainability issues that are important to them with local politicians and officials.
The city library is also organizing an activity with the students in the park.
The Children's meeting place is located under a tree in the park behind the city library. It is a meeting place where children and adults can talk about important future issues for children. A place for children to express dreams, concerns and suggestions for the future. There are several Children's meeting places located around the world and the first one was inaugurated in 2001 on UN land in Nairobi, by a large and beautiful acacia tree.
The Children's meeting place in Lund was inaugurated in 2019.
During this event, the International School of Lund has invited local politicians and officials to discuss with the children, who have prepared questions and presentations on topics of their interest, related to the UN sustainable development goals.
The city library will arrange an activity for the children and the library bike is also on site showcasing books on the theme of sustainable development and children's rights.
The event is arranged by the Education Administration and the Culture and Leisure Administration of Lund.
The event is part of Sustainability Week 2025, which runs between 5-10 May. Sustainability Week is an annual event in Lund organised as a joint venture by Lund University and Lund municipality.
